HOSPICE OF HOPE BECOMES SUSTAINING PARTNER IN NATIONAL “LIVE” CAMPAIGN
Hospice of Hope has recently been recognized by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization as a Sustaining Partner in the national “It’s About How You LIVE” campaign which encourages American to make informed decisions about end-of-life care and service – before a crisis hits.
There are more than 700 partners participating in the national engagement campaign that includes community coalitions, hospice and palliative care providers, associations, and other groups that share a commitment to improving care at the end of life.
Hospice of Hope achieved the honor of Sustaining Partner by doing extensive community outreach about end-of-life issues in Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio.
Hospice of Hope sponsored events including Mountain Pathway, Camp Echo, Memorial Programs, Speakers Bureau presentations, and other educational programs.
“The best time to learn about end-of-life issues is before you or a loved one is faced with a crisis,” said Michael Parker, Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “Hospice of Hope is committed to providing quality education, resources and service to people in our community and is making a significant difference to many families coping with the death of a loved one.”
Hospice of Hope has speakers available for community groups and will continue to sponsor community events around the “It’s About How You LIVE” theme:
· Learn about options for care at the end of life;
· Implement plans to ensure your wishes are honored;
· Voice your decisions with family, friends, health and spiritual care providers; and
· Engage in efforts to improve end-of-life care for others.
The national “It’s About How You LIVE” campaign is sponsored by Caring Connections, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Support for Caring Connections has been provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
