Hospice of Hope Joins National “LIVE” Campaign

Hospice of Hope is a proud Partner in the national “It’s About How You LIVE” campaign encouraging Americans to make informed decisions about end-of-life care and services before a crisis hits.  Throughout November, national hospice and palliative care month, Hospice of Hope will be stressing the importance of end-of-life planning.  It may not always be easy to think about end-of-life care but it is very important to talk about the issues.

“The best time to learn about end-of-life issues is before you are faced with them,” said Hospice of Hope Team Physician, Dr. Paul Junker.

The LIVE campaign encourages individuals to make informed decision in advance.  LIVE is an acronym meaning: Learn about options for end-of-life services and care; Implement plans to ensure your wishes are honored; Voice your decisions with family, friends, and health and spiritual care providers; and Engage in personal or community efforts to improve end-of-life care.

Hospice of Hope offers informational sessions to area organizations, civic groups, religious affiliations, and businesses on the options relating to end-of-life care.  This November, take the Hospice of Hope challenge and talk to your loved ones about their end-of-life wishes.  The decisions made today, before a crisis hits, will better prepare you for tomorrow. Remember it’s about how you live. For more information about end-of-life care contact Hospice at Hope at 800-928-4848.
