Recently
the Knights of Columbus, Ripley Council #2374, sponsored a picnic for the local
parishes they serve. Around 100 brother knights, their families, parishioners
and guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of activities and food. One of the
activities was a “split the pot” raffle benefiting Hospice of Hope-Ohio Valley.
Ripley council’s Worthy Grand Knight Myron Flaugher said, “Our council has a
membership of 98 brothers knights that are always ready to do whatever it takes
to help our community. We follow the state’s council program, “following the
footsteps”. This program helps councils such as ours become more active in
their churches, community, council, family, youth, and membership. Ripley
Council follows the program very closely and in the community program, it asks
that a council supports such organizations as Hospice of Hope – Ohio Valley.”
