Hospice of Hope – Ohio Valley Receives

Donation from American Legion Post 180

Recently the American Legion Post 180 in Georgetown, OH made a donation to Hospice of Hope – Ohio Valley.  Post 180 Commander Russell Doughdy of Hamersville presented a check in the amount of $1000 to the local non-profit agency.  In 2005, over 270 members of the American Legion Post 180 awarded over $28,000 to local charities and expect to match or exceed that when final donations are made for year ending 2006.

Mr. Doughdy added, “Through the use of bingo, instant pull tabs and other fundraising events, we are able to make these donations.  We feel that it is important to give back to or our community and Hospice of Hope – Ohio Valley is great fit.”

Hospice of Hope – Ohio Valley uses donations such as this to continue to offer high quality hospice services to patients and families in their service area.  Michael Parker, Director of Development and Public Relations stated, “We are so thankful to have supportive philanthropic organizations in our community that recognizes our services.  Without donations such as this, we would be unable to offer the same quality services that are offered today.”
